The thing that really, really kills me about Dylan’s acting is that while he goes really broad with the comedy (and excellently so), when it comes to serious moments he pulls back and goes super subtle. So in moments where another actor would be hitting you over the head with the fact that THEY ARE EMOTING HERE, he lets the moment play out quietly, trusting that a few minute facial expressions and the look in his eyes tell you what you need to know about what his character is going through. Like, instead of full-on sobbing, his eyes will well up a bit and you’re tearing your hair out instead of rolling your eyes. And because he does go big with the comedy it hits you even harder because you’re not expecting it.

Like BAM feelings out of nowhere, jesus you were just making me laugh two minutes ago and now I’m crying, wtf.
